Price of Freedom Museum summer schedule announced

The Price of Freedom Museum is an impressive collection of Finnish Winter War and other military materials, memorabilia, and artifacts.  The exhibit will be open to the public three days each week through Labor Day.  There is no admission charge, though donations are appreciated.

Exhibit Location & hours:

Finlandia University’s Jutila Center, Room 603

Tuesdays 1-3 p.m.

Wednesdays 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Thursdays 1-3 p.m.

The Jutila Center is located at 200 Michigan Street in Hancock.  There is ample parking and elevator access to the sixth floor. Though the exhibit is designed to be self-guided, volunteers from the university€™s Finnish Council in America will be on hand.

The Price of Freedom Museum is part of the ever-growing collection of the Finlandia University Finnish American Heritage Center and Historical Archive. Since its founding in the 1930s, the Archive has preserved and promoted the stories of the Finnish immigrant experience in North America, and is currently the only cultural center actively collecting Finnish-American materials.
