Finlandia Art Gallery

Bonnie Loukus : Liminal Sanctuaries
April 23 – June 10, 2026
Opening Reception: Thursday, April 23, 2026, 7-8:30pm
Located in the Finnish American Heritage Center, the Finlandia Art Gallery is free and open to the public Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
Through exhibitions of contemporary Finnish, Finnish-American and American artists, the Finlandia Art Gallery promotes Finlandia Foundation National’s mission of championing Finnish culture and heritage.
The gallery organizes exhibitions that encourage appreciation and understanding of art and its role in society through direct engagement with the original works of art and the artists who created them. With the goal of both broadening our perspective and strengthening our international connections, the gallery provides educational resources for our community and is a gathering place for people to discuss and reflect upon art. Our aim is to be the leading exhibitor of Finnish and Finnish-American art in the United States.
Each year the gallery collaborates with the Finnish Folk School to provide programming and exhibits. The synergistic collaborations between the Finnish American Folk School and the gallery provide programming that infuses tradition with contemporary thought and technique, culminating in the annual The Folk School at Midsummer exhibit during the summer months.
